(Fwrd Axis) — Esteemed sports writer Becca Winkert will join FWRD AXIS News as a staff writer, the news organization announced Thursday. The veteran writer will give her perspective on a wide range of sports topics as well as other important issues going on in the United States and around the world.
“I’m excited to have Becca joining our growing team,” Fwrd Axis News founder David Bradford said in a statement. “Her experience and unique voice will help propel Fwrd Axis to new heights as we head into a new chapter as a news organization.”

From being a co-host on the “Triple W Pod” to her appearances on NBC Washington, Winkert has been a prominent part of the coverage for the NBA’s Washington Wizards and WNBA’s Washington Mystics, contributing to the coverage as a host, analyst, and credentialed NBA writer.
Winkert is from Washington DC and is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
