Alvarez vs. Ryder: Prediction

A victory for Ryder, even against a possibly weakened Alvarez, seems extremely unlikely. It’s a return to familiar territory for Alvarez, and Ryder isn’t quite as dangerous as even a 40-year-old Golovkin. This means that Alvarez can fight more aggressively than in his most previous fight.

Ryder did well against Smith, and although being physically weaker, he was able to exert some pressure on the champion. Despite being a fraction of an inch shorter than Ryder, Alvarez is incredibly powerful and can utilize his strength as well as anyone.

Ryder won’t be able to bully Alvarez around, and he won’t be the more dangerous or technically superior fighter either. Fans are waiting to see how Ryder can win until he lands a beautiful punch or Alvarez completely collapses. In front of a riled-up Mexican audience, Alvarez is certain to score a knockout victory.
