The thrilling action of the Winter X is finally returning. They’ll be back in Aspen on January 27-29 for what has become a mainstay of the Colorado winter sports calendar. The first Winter X Games were held in 1997 at Big Bear Lake in California, but the event has since established a home in Colorado, with the Centennial State hosting the event 23 times, including 21 straight tournaments in Aspen. This year’s Winter X Games will be the state’s 24th and Aspen’s 22nd consecutive games.
Winter X Games 2023 will, as usual, feature an unparalleled extreme sports roster. Men’s and women’s contests in Snowboard Slopestyle, Special Olympics Unified Snowboarding and Skiing, Ski Big Air, Ski Knuckle Huck, Ski Slopestyle, Snowboard SuperPipe, Snowboard Big Air, and Snowboard Knuckle Huck are on the event calendar this year. The competition will be returning to the Buttermilk Mountains.

The Winter Games in Colorado, one of the most extreme winter sports competitions in the world, attract a worldwide variety of gravity-defying competitors each year. All activities are free for guests, while ticket packages for exclusive VIP seating indoors to witness all the action are available. There will be a slew of live musical performances as well from the 27th to the 29th of January during the competition. On Friday, there will be performances from Kaskade and Night Tales. This will be followed on Saturday with Yung Gravy and MOD Sun taking the stage. The final musical lineup of the games on Sunday will be performances from the band Girlfriends and MADDS.
