Former unified Heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua faces Jermaine Franklin this afternoon (Sat, April 1, 2023) in London, England, hoping to prove he still belongs among the best despite suffering two painful losses to Oleksandr Usyk.
At 18, Joshua, now 33, entered the boxing ring. He is a two-time heavyweight champion who has lost two of his last three bouts, both to Oleksandr Usyk. A victory may put Watford’s own Joshua back in the running for the undisputed title bout between Tyson Fury and Usyk.
Joshua has brought on a new trainer for this bout, making it his third trainer in as many bouts. Joshua thinks that Derrick James, who trains welterweight king Errol Spence Jr., is the missing link in his development.
