(Fwrd Axis) – After a delay, NBC has officially set the premiere date for the highly anticipated America’s Got Talent: Extreme spin-off show that was announced early last year. The show was initially MIA from the network’s midseason schedule after production was forced to halt.
The network announced AGT: Extreme will premiere on February 21 and will have a four-week run. According to a press release from NBC, the show will feature “the most outrageous, unique and jaw-dropping acts of enormous scale and magnitude that simply can’t be confined to a theater stage.”
Contestants on AGT Extreme will compete against each other each week to be crowned the winner of a $500,000 prize and the title “best danger act in the world”. Terry Crews will host the spin-off while show creator and judge Simon Cowell will be joined by WWE superstar Nikki Bella and motocross driver Travis Pastrana at the judge’s desk.
Filming for the spin-off was halted in October after daredevil Jonathan Goodwin was injured on set after he was sandwiched in between two cars. The England native would be taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
