Biden Responds To Poor Debate Performance: ‘I Don’t Debate As Well As I Used To’

Biden suggested he is ‘down but not out’ as an attempt to quiet reports about him leaving the race.

RALEIGH, N.C. — President Joe Biden attempted to turn his disappointing debate performance into an effort to rally supporters on Friday amid reports Democrats are in a panic and are quietly mulling options about replacing him atop the ticket.

Speaking to a crowd in North Carolina, Biden suggested he is “down but not out” as an attempt to quiet reports about him leaving the race.

“I know I’m not a young man. I don’t walk as easy as I used to. I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to, but I know what I do know — I know how to tell the truth!” a highly energetic Biden said.

“When you get knocked down, you get back up,” Biden yelled. “I intend to win this state in November,” he added. “We win here, we win the election.”

A White House official told Fwrd Axis News the President was suffering from a cold as his reason for his raspy voice.

Biden’s age has been a key reason for his poll going down for months. The public concerns are made worse by deceptively edited videos, some of which have gone viral, making it appear as if Biden is wandering or confused.

Biden’s remarks come less than 24 hours after the President delivered a poor debate performance hoarse, raspy during Thursday’s debate voice sent some Democrats into panic mode.

“Look, it was a really disappointing debate performance from Joe Biden,” Kate Bedingfield, Former Biden White House Communications Director, said. “I don’t think there’s any other way to slice it. His biggest issue that he had to prove to the American people was he had the energy of the stamina, and he didn’t do that.“

A Biden supporter said the President’s debate was “the worst performance in history” and said Biden was so “bad that no one will pay attention to Trump’s lies.”

“It’s time for Biden to step aside,” another key Democrat said.

Biden campaign official Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement that the President presented a “positive and winning vision,” while Trump “reminded the American people why they fired him four years ago.”
