‘Celebrity Apprentice Australia’ Premiere Recap: Going For Fore

(Fwrd Axis) — Lord Sugar is back and 16 celebrities are ready to do what it takes to impress the British billionaire and his advisers outlast them all and win a $250,000 prize for their charity on this season’s Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

Among those in the cast include radio hosts Will and Woody, Olympic gold medallist and world champion swimmer Bronte Campbell, Logie-Award-winning actress Jodi Gordon, Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gamble Breaux.

The episode kicks off with Lord Sugar welcoming the 16 celebrities and right away, he split the group into two teams. The women on Team Innovate, and the men on Team Collaborate. For their first task, the celebrities must hold a charity golf event and the team who raised the most money for their charity would win.

The men got to work quickly securing money for the golf event while the women took the slower approach and tried to nail down a theme and concept for the event.

“I would scrap the idea of having different things going on. I would stick to something that’s ‘wow’ and ‘spectacular’,” Beck said.

The women didn’t like the idea and neither did those who attended the event. Despite raising over $200,000 in donations, the women lost the task. Project manager Turia had to bring back two members of her team to the final boardroom to face Lord Sugar and she chose Beck and Gamble Breaux.

The women piled on Beck, saying she was manipulative and not listening to them and it appears that Lord Sugar agreed. After meeting with his advisers Janine Allis and Nick Bell, he made his decision. In the end, he agreed that Beck was a little too much for his boardroom.

“Beck, I don’t think that you are a very good team player. So therefore Beck, You’re fired!” Lord Sugar said.

Celebrity Apprentice Australia airs Sunday at 7.00pm and Monday through Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
