Israel-Hamas War

Gaza Border Closed As Residents Search For Supplies

The news comes as Israel’s war with Gaza enters a week.

ISRAEL-GAZA BORDER — The European Union said Monday that they are preparing an airlift to bring lifesaving supplies to Gaza amid a shortage with the Hamas-Israel war raging on just over a week.

“The first two flights will take place this week, carrying humanitarian cargo from UNICEF including shelter items, medicines, and hygiene kits,” an E.U. press release said.

The news comes as Israel’s war with Gaza enters a week. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sheltered in a bunker for five minutes Monday after air raid sirens went off.

Hamas, aka The Qassam Brigades, said they have 200 to 250 hostages. Abu Ubaida, spokesman for Hamas, said the militant group would release foreign prisoners “if the necessary conditions are available for that.”
