Ever since Sony confirmed the official title for Spider-Man: No Way Home back in February, fans have been clamoring for a proper trailer to whet their appetites and allude to some of the things that returning director Jon Watts has in store. However, the months continued to pass without any news on when it would drop, and with the planned release date—December 17th, 2021—drawing closer and closer, it seemed less and less likely that the clip would be released anytime soon.
Thankfully, Sony assuaged everyone’s fears yesterday by uploading the full HD trailer to their Twitter page. After countless speculation regarding how the film will handle the aftermath of Spider-Man: Far From Home’s shocking final moments (as well as plenty of conjecture about Doctor Strange’s involvement, the multiverse, and whether or not bad guys from the Raimi and Webb series will appear), we finally have some truly tempting answers.
Without spoiling every moment of the three-minute montage—which you can watch below—suffice it to say that Spider-Man: No Way Home looks to be even more exciting, ambitious, and rewarding than anyone expected. Building upon both the tension and romance that surrounded the titular webslinger (Tom Holland), MJ (Zendaya), Ned (Jacob Batalon), and company, the movie will likely be the most action-packed, dramatic, and surprising of the trilogy. That said, they’ll be plenty of humor and fun as well, especially because of the various connections to not only the MCU, but to previous Spider-Man cinematic outings.
That’s all we’ll say for now, though. Be sure to check out the full trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home and let us know if you’re as pumped for it as we are!
