Trump Supporters Rally In Washington To Falsely Claim Voter Fraud

President Trump and far-right extremist groups endorsed the event

WASHINGTON – A week after Joe Biden was projected to win the presidential race, thousands of President Donald Trump’s supporters gathered in the nation’s capital to protest the results and repeat his unfounded claims of voter fraud.

Among those that gathered to protest included anti-government groups such as the Oath Keepers, far-right groups such as the Proud Boys and the Three Percenters, conspiracy theorists such as Alex Jones and Republican members of Congress.

Groups started popping up on social media like “Stop the Steal,” “March for Trump” and “Million MAGA March. The protesters began filling into Freedom Plaza just hours before the events began.

Mr. Trump took notice of the events and tweeted out his support while again claiming (without proof) that the election was rigged against him. His motorcade drove by the event as he was going to golf and he waved to the crowd.

Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona and Rep. Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania were speakers at the “March for Trump” event while the “Million MAGA March” had conspiracy theorists podcaster Nick Fuentes, Mike Cernovich, who promoted the debunked pizza gate theory.

Mr. Trump’s supporters are desperate to see the election result overturned despite the final Electoral College map showing Biden with 306 Electoral Votes to the President’s 232. Several of Trump’s supporters claim the vote was rigged and “ballots appeared for Biden” during the overnight hours.

As of this writing, there is no evidence of voter fraud in the 2020 election and the Department of Homeland Security recently said this election was the “most secure in American history” with thousands of mail-in ballot counting being live streamed online.

The events took place amid 180,000 new cases of coronavirus and 1,400 deaths recorded over the past 24 hours. However, this seems to not matter to supporters of the President, whose claims of voter fraud continue to fall on deaf ears while Biden’s transition to power is in full swing.
