‘Big Brother’ 27 in the USA may be ending soon but not to fear! There is more ‘Big Brother’ on the horizon.
ITV announced on Monday morning that Big Brother UK will return on September 28 on ITV2 and ITVX as a new batch of housemates enter Britain’s most famous house.
In a statement, ITV said fans can “expect more new twists and turns, elaborate tasks, intense nominations and live evictions as the cast of Housemates go up against one another in a bid to be crowned the winner, and walk away with a life-changing cash prize.”
The show is expected to run for seven weeks, which is one week longer than ITV’s previous runs of the show.
Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best will welcome the new housemates to Britain’s most famous house and will kick housemates out during live eviction show’s every single Friday.
The show will launch in the U.K. on the same day that ‘Big Brother’ 27 ends in the U.S. as host Julie Chen Moonves reveals the winner of the $750,000 cash prize.
The 27th season of the U.S. version has seen severe fan backlash after Rachel Reilly was eliminated from the show without a vote, eviction, or chance to save herself.
The twist quickly set off a wave of backlash online, with fans accusing production of robbing Reilly of the chance to fight for her spot.
“I can’t believe Rachel was sent home like that. No vote, no comp, no nothing. Damn production. That’s not fair to her or the fans who wanted to see her fight,” one viewer wrote on social media.
With just two weeks to go until both shows, more Big Brother content will be on the way.
