‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’ Has Lowest Ratings To Date

(Fwrd Axis) — Piers Morgan made his return to television over a year since departing Good Morning Britain and it appears not everyone has turned on the British presenter’s newest program.

Piers Morgan Uncensored premiered back in April to 317,000 viewers on TalkTV in the U.K., defeating BBC News and Sky News and tripling the ratings from GB News. Morgan’s explosive interview with former President Donald Trump made world headlines and even got the attention of the White House.

However, the ratings for Morgan’s new show have tanked in recent months, putting its future in doubt. Just one week after its premiere, a low 62,000 viewers tuned into Uncensored, a drop of 80 percent.

Trump himself, who criticized Morgan for what he called unfair editing, gleed at the presenter’s struggle to attract an audience.

“Unfortunately, after that interview, his show bombed completely because of the fake narrative he tried to portray. The fact is, I got a new closeup glimpse at Piers, and he no longer has what it takes. It’s over for him!”, Trump said.

Talktv is getting beaten nightly in the ratings across the board by GB News, a startup television channel. The news is likely to irritate Rupert Murdoch, who signed Morgan to a multi-year contract to host the show to be seen in the U.S., U.K., and Australia.

Sharon Osbourne, who was let go from The Talk in the United States, recently returned across the pond to host a show on Talktv but her figures are even lower than Morgan’s. The most recent episode of The Talk attracted just 10,000 viewers, some of the lowest on the channel in recent days. Osbourne only hosted three episodes before announcing she would be taking a break to fly to her home in Los Angeles to be with her husband Ozzy, who had been ill with Covid-19.

Talktv declined to comment on the status of Morgan’s and Osbourne’s shows to FWRD AXIS News.

Piers Morgan Uncensored airs on Talktv in the U.K., Fox Nation in the U.S., and Sky News in Australia.
