SUV Slams Into Biden’s Motorcade In Delaware, Investigation Underway

The Secret Service said in a statement that Biden departed without incident.

WILMINGTON, Del. — A sedan struck a vehicle that was part of President Joe Biden‘s motorcade on Sunday night, according to reporters traveling with the President.

The Bidens were having dinner with staff at his campaign headquarters in downtown Wilmington. A reporter asked Biden, who had just exited the building, why he was trailing former President Donald Trump in the 2024 polls.

“They’re the wrong polls,” he said.

As he turned to leave, there was a bang, and Biden could be heard saying, “Woah” before Secret Service agents rushed him into the vehicle. He was uninjured in the incident as was first lady Jill Biden.

Secret Service agents quickly surrounded the car with guns drawn on the driver, who held his hands up, according to a pool report.

The Secret Service said in a statement that Biden departed without incident and there was no threat towards him.
