‘The Traitors’ US Season 3 Premiere Nets Series High Ratings

The hit competition show’s third season attracted the best ever unscripted premiere for Peacock.

It appears everyone loves a good murder mystery.

The Traitors US opened its third season with its largest viewing numbers in series history as it registered 499 million minutes of viewing on Peacock for week of Jan. 6-12, according to preliminary Nielsen streaming figures.

The figure surpasses the 402 million minutes the week after its season two premiere in January 2024 and is the best premiere week for any Peacock unscripted series to date, becoming the number one unscripted show in the United States last week.

Netflix drama Virgin River took the top spot with 1.82 billion minutes of viewing, down slightly from the 1.92 billion minutes in September 2023. Prime Video’s Red One came down from its huge first week but still had 1.66 billion minutes of viewing time. Tyler Perry’s movie The Six Triple Eight debuted to a solid 867 million minutes for Netflix.
