Apple Announces iPhone 13 Lineup With Higher Refresh Rate, New Colors

The new iPhone looks nearly identical to last year’s iPhone 12 but most of this year’s changes are internal.

Apple unveiled its fall product lineup on Tuesday and introduced its new iPhone lineup, Apple Watch, and iPad.

The new iPhone looks nearly identical to last year’s iPhone 12 but most of this year’s changes are internal. The iPhone 13 also has a bigger battery and 28 percent brighter screens. The screen sizes are the same as last year with the iPhone 13 and iPhone Pro at 6.1 inches, 5.4 inches on the iPhone 13 mini, and 6.7 inches on the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

All the iPhone 13’s have the A15 Bionic processor chip, which will allow for more camera features, and 5G support for the iPhone 13 is expanded. The colors this year are black, silver, red, blue, and a new pink. As for the cameras, all four new iPhones will have a new wide camera sensor and lens, with the Pro models getting a feature called “cinematic video”, which Apple has not commented much on.

The iPhone 13 mini costs $699 and the iPhone 13 costs $799. Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 Pro models are at $999 and $1,099 respectively. Preorders open on Friday, and the phones will be available on September 24th.

Elsewhere, Apple also unveiled a new iPad mini and a new Apple Watch Series 7, which is experiencing delays in production. Fitness+ is one of the new subscriptions and using the Apple Watch, customers can now have group workouts with friends or family.

Apple also announced a new iPad, which will start out at $329 with 64 GB of storage. The new iPad will come with an A13 processor and a better, 12-megapixel front-facing camera for improved video calls. Also announced was an iPad Mini, which has a smaller 8.3-inch screen.

The Touch ID sensor has been built into the top button of the new iPad, which also comes with a USB-C cable. The iPad Mini will start at $499 and hits stores next week.
