The Big Brother house will be filled with celebrities this winter. CBS announced on Thursday afternoon they have renewed Big Brother: Celebrity Edition for a third season in 2022.
The first two seasons aired in 2018 and 2019 with Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tamar Braxton winning their respective seasons. Julie Chen Moonves will return as the host for the three-week series.
The winter edition of the show will also stream on Paramount+, where fans will be able to watch the 24/7 live feed of the house. The winner will get a prize of $250,000 and be crowned the third celebrity winner in U.S. history.
As of this writing, not many details about the upcoming series are known. CBS says the show will return in “winter 2022”, which will likely be in January or February if the show’s past schedule is anything to go by. The celebrity series will likely go head-to-head with the winter Olympics on NBC.
