SAN ANTONIO — A week after being benched in the fourth quarter, San Antonio Brahmas quarterback Quinten Dormady put together a solid outing to lead his team into the playoffs.
Dormady put together a first half clinic as San Antonio held off a late rally by the Arlington Renegades to win 20-15 at the Alamodome on Sunday afternoon, clinching a playoff berth in the UFL Playoffs.
Dormady threw for 250 yards and a pair of touchdowns as San Antonio took a 20-3 halftime lead into the locker room at halftime. The Brahmas failed to score in the second half but their defense held strong on key drives to secure the win.
Running back Anthony McFarland returned to the lineup after missing the past four games with a right shoulder injury. Dormady connected with McFarland on both touchdowns on 52 and 37 yards, finishing with 118 yards on three receptions.
The second half saw Arlington add a pair of field goals to make it a 20-9 game going into the fourth quarter. Renegades quarterback Luis Perez took his team down the field late and connected with Javonta Payton, cutting the margin to 20-15 with 1:20 to play.
Arlington elected to go for it on a 4th-and-12 play from the 28-yard line to stay alive but Prince Emili sacked Perez to give San Antonio the ball back.

The San Antonio Brahmas are now 6-2 on the season and will return to the field next weekend when they host the undefeated Birmingham Stallions (8-0) at the Alamodome.
