Report: Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Models To Receive Price Increase

(Fwrd Axis) — With inflation keeping prices at all-time highs, Apple is planning to increase the prices of iPhone 14 Pro models when the new flagship phones launch next month.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he estimated the average price for the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro models could increase by 15 percent compared to the iPhone 13 lineup a year ago. While an exact price increase for the Pro models remains to be seen, Kuo states the new prices could be $100 more for the Pro Models in the United States, putting the standard Pro at $1,099 and the Pro Max at $1,199.

The news comes after reports say the standard iPhone models will not see a price increase, likely due to the minimal changes to the phones from year on year. For the Pro models, Apple fans can expect new features for the lock screen that will allow users will be able to add widgets on the lock screen to get information quickly and get updates that are live, such as sports games, up to the minute.

Additionally, the Pro models will receive the new A16 bionic chip while the standard models will keep last year’s A15 chip. Other key features include a new 48-megapixel rear camera lens with support for 8K video recording and a new always-on display that will reduce battery usage that will only show the time, date, and battery percentage.

The iPhone 14 models will quick charge at up to 30W. This is a 50% increase on the iPhone 13 models from one year ago and in the new iOS 16 updates, fans were overjoyed at the new battery percentage being displayed in the battery icon after it was removed when the iPhone X came out in 2017.

With the phone expected to launch next month, Max Weinbach says Apple could announce the iPhone 14 on September 6 with the release date on September 16th.
