FBI Executes Search Warrant At Trump’s Mar-A-Lago Home

In the statement, Trump claimed the move was politically motivated, despite not providing evidence to back up those claims.

(Fwrd Axis) — The FBI executed a search warrant at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump confirmed in a statement to FWRD AXIS News.

In the statement, Trump claimed the move was politically motivated, despite not providing evidence to back up those claims. He went on to say the law enforcement showed up unannounced and “broke into” his safe.

“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump said in a lengthy statement.

A spokesperson for the Justice Department declined to comment to FWRD AXIS News.

Donald Trump’s involvement in the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, which resulted in his second impeachment, is currently being investigated by the January 6 House Select Committee.

Trump was not at his Mar-a-lago resort and spends his summers at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey.

The New York Times was the first outlet that reported on Monday that the focus for the raid was regarding the National Archives materials that were taken from the White House when Trump left office.

A Justice Department spokesperson declined to comment to FWRD AXIS News about the raid and the White House issued a statement saying they learned of the FBI’s warrant on Trump’s property when it became public.

“We did not have notice of the reported action and would refer you to the Justice Department for any additional information,” a White House official said.

The news comes after Attorney General Merrick Garland told NBC News the “most wide-ranging investigation” in Justice Department history was examining the rioters and “anyone who was criminally responsible for interfering with the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to another.”

However, the most pressing investigation is the one currently being conducted by the January 6 Select Committee on the former president’s actions on the day the Capitol was attacked. More hearings are scheduled to begin in September.

Trump has not been charged in any of those investigations.

When asked how Monday’s raid will change Trump’s plans for 2024 and beyond, an aide issued a warning.

“If he wasn’t running before, he is now,” a person close to Trump said.
