Kevin Feige Teases Future of the MCU: X-Men, Miles Morales, Blade

D23 Brasil has officially kicked off and had presentations from Walt Disney Studios.

D23 Brasil has officially kicked off and had presentations from Walt Disney Studios, Disney Animation, Pixar Animation, and 20th Century Animation, the major panels from the likes of Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios have not happened yet.

During a new interview with Omelete ahead of the presentation later today, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige gave fans a clear indication of where the MCU is & where it will be headed in the near future.

                 The MCU X-Men

Fans have been waiting for the MCU’s take on the live-action X-Men and while Marvel Studios has a writer in Michael Leslie, this is the first real update on where and when The Mutants will fit into the MCU timeline going forward.

Kevin Feige says that the team will most likely be introduced after the highly anticipated Avengers: Secret Wars film:

This time, on the road to Secret Wars, we already know very well what the story will be up until then and beyond. The X-Men are an important part of that future.

                      Miles Morales

Due to the success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales has become a popular character from the Marvel Universe in recent years.

While Spider-Man 4 is in active development, set to release in theaters on July 24, 2026, fans have been speculating when the character would fully be introduced into the MCU and while he has been teased in films like Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: No Way Home, there isn’t a real indicator on where he’ll fit in. Kevin Feige gives us transparency on where he would want to see Miles Morales in the near future:

“Miles will appear in the third ‘Spider-Verse’ movie, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action.

The Scarlet Witch

The Scarlet Witch is one of the most popular characters in the MCU due to her appearances in the Avengers films & the beloved WandaVision

Her last appearance was in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where she *apparently* dies in the process at the end of the final act so naturally, fans wanted to know where she went at the end. She was also heavily teased in the most recent MCU project, Agatha All Along. Kevin Feige teased that the Scarlet Witch may [actually] not be dead after all:

“All I can say is that we’re excited to find out when and how she can come back.”

                      Blade in the MCU

Marvel Studios’ Blade is a film that was announced all the way back in San Diego-Comic Con 2019 when they first showcased their plans for Phase 4, but unfortunately the project has been in a limbo for the past 5 years and most recently got taken off of Disney’s film slate for next few years. And while Blade was heard in the post-credit scene of Eternals, he still hasn’t made his MCU debut yet. Some people around the internet and even myself have wondered: “Will Blade actually come out?”

Rest assured, Kevin Feige gave fans the update they’ve been waiting on for Blade:

“We’re committed to Blade. We love the character, we love Mahershala’s version of him. And rest assured, whenever we change direction with a project, or are still trying to figure out how it fits into our schedule, we let the public know. You’re updated on what’s going on. But I can say that the character will make it to the MCU.”

Marvel Studios is set to have a big panel at D23 Brasil later today, so you can expect news and updates on Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and more!
