San Antonio FC announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Community First Health, a local non-profit health plan. The partnership will include a new jersey patch on all SAFC jerseys for the upcoming 2024 season and beyond.

With this partnership, Community First Health is the official health insurance partner of SAFC. Community First’s logo will be prominently featured across the center of all SAFC jerseys and practice gear for all matches, both home and away.

“Our organization strives to provide access, healing and belonging to all of our fans and the community we serve,” said Dr. Kara Allen, Chief People, Impact & Belonging Officer at Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “Community First puts those priorities into practice daily and we are proud to be amplifying and aligning that work through this partnership.”

Community First Health Plans, the only locally owned and managed, non-profit health plan in the San Antonio region, was established in 1995 by University Health with the mission of offering exceptional healthcare benefits supported by exceptional service. According to its website, Community First provides high-quality healthcare coverage for individuals and families and has positively impacted the lives of over 3 million.

Community First, as part of its partnership with Spurs Sports and Entertainment, will sponsor the ADA seating areas and the club’s inaugural sensory area pod at Toyota Field. This pod will provide a safe place for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Additionally, Community First will sponsor a breastfeeding pod, offering mothers a private and secure space to feed or pump.

Community First will also play a significant role in the club’s youth sports endeavors as the presenting partner of five youth soccer clinics. To commemorate the partnership, Community First will create a wall mural at Toyota Field.
