Savannah Guthrie Tells Mother’s Possible Kidnappers ‘We Will Pay’ In Newly Released Video

Nearly a week into her mysterious disappearance, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie is still missing.

“Today” show host Savannah Guthrie and her siblings released a new video on Saturday, saying they have received a message from their mother’s possible kidnappers, adding the family would “pay” for the 84-year-old woman’s safe return.

“We received your message and we understand,” Savannah Guthrie said, seated alongside her brother, Camron, and sister, Annie. “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace.”

“This is very valuable to us, and we will pay,” Savannah Guthrie said in closing, clutching her siblings’ hands.

Guthrie’s video message did not provide specifics about the message she referenced.

At least three news outlets have received a possible ransom note, and it is unclear whether she was referencing those notes or a new one.

The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department stated on Friday that they were aware of a new message regarding Guthrie, which investigators were examining for authenticity. It is not known whether this message was connected to the initial unverified note or sender.

Nancy Guthrie, a resident of north Tucson, Arizona, went missing from her home around noon on Sunday. This occurred after she failed to attend church. She was last seen the previous night, around 9:45 p.m., after having dinner at Annie Guthrie’s home.

The sheriff’s department suspects that Guthrie was abducted or kidnapped, possibly in the middle of the night.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the sheriff’s department confirmed that investigators have yet to identify a suspect or a person of interest in the case. Earlier, authorities had stated that they lacked any credible evidence suggesting that Guthrie’s potential abduction was a targeted incident.
