Former President Donald Trump reportedly sent Russian President Vladimir Putin Covid-19 testing machines for his private use during the height of the pandemic, according to new book by journalist Bob Woodward.
In his new book, “War”, Woodward also writes Trump has spoken by phone “maybe as many as seven” times with Putin since leaving office in 2021, according to the Washington Post and CNN.
“I don’t want you to tell anybody because people will get mad at you, not me,” Putin allegedly told Trump after receiving the kits.
“I don’t care. Fine,” Trump responded.
Trump told ABC News that the reporting is fake and slammed Woodward.
“That’s false,” Trump said as he responded to claims e had spoken with Putin after leaving office, and that he had earlier sent Putin a COVID test.
Vice President Kamala Harris responded to the reporting during an interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday, saying the report “is just the most recent stark example of who Trump is.”
“People in America were struggling to get tests, and this guy is sending them to Russia, to a murderous dictator for his personal use?” Harris said in disgust.
Woodward also reports that President Joe Biden also had harsh language for the Russian dictator, calling him “pure evil”.
“That fucking Putin,” Biden told advisers in the Oval Office, according to the book. “Putin is evil. We are dealing with the epitome of evil.”
Woodwood details Biden’s conversations with national security officials prior to Russia invading Ukraine, being made aware of the plans — calling them “crazy”.
“Jesus Christ!” Biden said. “Now I’ve got to deal with Russia swallowing Ukraine?”
The book also went into detail about Biden’s relationship Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The President accused Netanyahu of having “no strategy” for the war in Gaza.
“Bibi is bad fucking guy,” Biden reportedly said.
