Eagles, Chiefs Punch Ticket To Super Bowl LIX

The Kansas City Chiefs are just one win away from making NFL history.

The Kansas City Chiefs are just one win away from making NFL history after they punched their ticket to Super Bowl LIX on Sunday night, defeating the Buffalo Bills 32-29 at Arrowhead Stadium.

Super Bowl LIX will be the third straight appearance in the championship game for the Chiefs, who are looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Chiefs 32, Bills 29

The Chiefs led 21-10 late in the first half but would see Buffalo scored 12 straight points to take the 22-21 advantage in the second half. Patrick Mahomes would score a rushing touchdown to make it 29-22 after the Chiefs’ defense stopped Josh Allen on a 4th down attempt.

Allen led his team downfield for another touchdown drive to tie the game at 29-29. The Bills’ defense stepped up, sacking Mahomes and forcing the Chiefs into a field goal attempt to make it 32-29. Mahomes finished 18 for 26 passing for 245 yards and a touchdown.

Eagles 55, Commanders 23

The Philadelphia Eagles ended the dream season for the Washington Commanders, dominating the afternoon for a 55-23 victory.

After a close first half, the Eagles blew the game open in the third quarter. Despite questions about Jalen Hurts knee, he looked solid with four touchdowns, including three on the ground.

Hurts now has four career games with 200 passing yards and three rushing TDs, including playoffs

 Saquon Barkley got the day started with a 60-yard run on the Eagles’ first offensive play of the game.

Meanwhile for Washington, the Commanders turned the ball over four times, leading to 28 points for Philadelphia. Jaylen Daniels ended his rookie season with 255 yards passing with one touchdown and one interception and 48 yards rushing with another score.
