Texas QB Quinn Ewers Expects To Enter NFL Draft After Season

ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers said Friday he expects to enter the NFL draft at the conclusion of Texas’ 2024 season.

Speaking to ESPN’s College GameDay, Ewers was asked if he expects to play in the NFL next season.

“Yes,” he replied.

While Ewers didn’t make a definitive declaration, it marks his most clear plans yet about his future. Ewers is a fourth-year senior and has a 27-8 overall record in his Longhorns career.

In his career, Ewers has thrown for 8,845 yards, 66 touchdowns and completed 65.1% of his passes and has led the Longhorns to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff in both seasons.

Ewers is currently considered outside the Top 100 due to some injury issues in both 2023 and 2024 and some inconsistency but playing for Texas coach Steve Sarkisian, an NFL experienced coach, will help in the eyes of scouts.
