‘Big Brother’ Recap: A Heated Blow Up Leads To A New Alliance Forming

(Fwrd Axis) — Big Brother continued on Wednesday night with the Power of Veto competition as the two nominees fought to save themselves from the block and avoid eviction leading up to one epic blindside.

The episode kicked off following Turner’s nominations of Michael and Brittany. Nicole is feeling confident because she has a plan to get Taylor out of the game. Ameerah and Terrence go up to the HOH room and tell Turner the same story, that Taylor is a massive threat because she’s a wildcard.

Taylor and Monte have a conversation about how difficult it has been for her to open up because she has experienced colorism in the past. This makes Monte understand Taylor a bit more and leads to a conversation with Turner that maybe getting Taylor out this week isn’t good for the boy’s game, forming The Pound alliance. They agree to backdoor Ameerah and get her out of the game.

It was then time to pick players for the veto competition. Nicole and Taylor joined Michael and Brittany along with Jasmine and Turner in playing in the PoV. This left Nicole frustrated that she has to play and throw the competition to ensure she and Taylor go on the block. Or so she thinks. In reality, Turner says in the DR that Nicole is only helping him blindside Ameerah.

Nicole was in tears for having to throw the veto. Taylor comes in and comments she understands how hard the game is and if she needs to tap out, not to worry about her being partnered with her. Nicole completely takes Taylor’s comments out of context, leading to a heated conversation with Daniel, who blames her for Paloma leaving the game and Taylor is now in tears.

For the veto, the players must raise to build a puzzle piece while their partner is raised up in the air. Jasmine “passes out” because she doesn’t want to go up high in the air but returns to say she isn’t playing. Nicole goes slow in an attempt to throw the veto to ensure she and Taylor go up. Michael and Brittany have great communication and win the competition to save themselves, the third straight win for Michael and the first for Brittany.

Taylor is worried that she could be going home now that Nicole and Daniel attacked her. However, Monte approaches Taylor and tells her the boys want to talk with her in the HoH room. They inform her of everything that happened over the last few weeks and the house bullying her has forced The Leftovers alliance to form, setting up Ameerah’s blindside.

Big Brother continues Thursday night LIVE at 9/8c on CBS and Paramount+ with host Julie Chen Moonves.
