‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Opens Lowest Launch Ratings In Show History

“Celebrity Big Brother” returned to ITV on Monday night with the lowest launch night ratings in show history.

Monday’s live show saw hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best welcome 13 celebrities into the Celebrity Big Brother house. Among the famous faces included JoJo Siwa, Chesney Hawkes, Patsy Palmer, Chris Hughes, and Mickey Rourke.

The show premiered to 1.8 million viewers — the lowest launch show ratings in the show’s history. ‘CBB’ had a peak of 2.1 million viewers and was the highest rated show in the timeslot.

Despite the poor overnight figure, the show had the highest 16-34 audience of the night. However, Celebrity Big Brother typically has a younger audience and most of the viewers may have watched on ITVX.

Celebrity Big Brother continues on Tuesday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
