NEW YORK — Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the House Oversight Committee on Thursday that she has no new information about Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, blasting the Republican-led committee for wasting her time.
Speaking after her testimony, Clinton criticized Republicans’ handling of their investigations into the late convicted sex offender.
“I don’t know how many times I had to say I didn’t know Jeffrey Epstein,” she said, adding that towards the end of her testimony, she was asked about UFOs and the “pizzagate” conspiracy theory.
“So if they are going to fulfill their responsibilities to literally investigate the investigations, which is what they originally said was the scope of their work, I think they could have spent the day more productively,” she said.

I never went to his island. I never went to his homes, I never went to his offices. So it’s on the record numerous times,” she continued.
The deposition was paused briefly after a photo of her from inside the room was leaked by Rep. Lauren Boebert to conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, which is against committee rules.
Asked by reporters why she sent the photo to Johnson, Boebert responded, “Why not?”
The Colorado Republican added that she didn’t receive any repercussions for sending the photo.
“No, there was no reprimanding, there were no rules violated with the photo,” Boebert said.
Former President Bill Clinton is set to testify before the committee in their Epstein investigation on Friday.
In her opening statement Thursday, Hillary Clinton said that she had no involvement with Epstein or convicted associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
“The Committee justified its subpoena to me based on its assumption that I have information regarding the investigations into the criminal activities of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Let me be as clear as I can. I do not,” Clinton said, according to a release of her opening statement.
