Marco Rubio Endorses Trump In The Final Hours Before Iowa Caucuses

Rubio’s endorsement is a disappointment for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) announced Sunday he’s throwing his support behind former President Donald Trump just hours before the Iowa caucuses.

Rubio’s endorsement is a disappointment for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is banking on a big showing in Iowa to keep his campaign alive.

“I support Trump because that kind of leadership is the ONLY way we will get the extraordinary actions needed to fix the disaster Biden has created,” Rubio wrote on X. “It’s time to get on with the work of beating Biden & saving America!”

The Rubio endorsement comes just hours after North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum endorsed the former president, appearing on stage with Trump at a rally in Indianola.

“I’ve had an opportunity to have a front-row seat,” Burgum said. “I’ve seen President Trump and what he’s been able to do. I’ve seen it as a business leader and I’ve seen it as a governor. I’ve seen the difference that President Trump can make.”
