GREELEY, Colo. (Fwrd Axis) — The Incarnate Word Cardinals earned their first win of the Clint Killough era with a 42-7 rout over the University of Northern Colorado Bears on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Story: After opening the season with a loss to UTEP in El Paso, UIW’s offense lit up the Bears for 42 points.
- Cardinals quarterback Zach Calzada finished the game with 255 passing yards and three touchdowns, completing 23 of his 32 passes.
- The win was Killough’s first as UIW head coach.
- UIW quarterbacks Ryan Stubblefield and Richard Torres both saw action with the game in hand.
