Donald Trump Could Announce 2024 Run As Early As September

Speaking to New York Magazine, Trump stated that he had “already made that decision”.

(Fwrd Axis) — Former President Donald Trump gave the strongest indication yet that he is seeking another run for office, saying he is still deciding when – not if – he should announce a 2024 campaign.

Speaking to New York Magazine, Trump stated that he had “already made that decision”.

“I would say my big decision will be whether I go before or after,” Trump said, referring to the midterms elections in November. “Do I go before or after? That will be my big decision.”

The news comes after FWRD AXIS News previously reported Trump had told his associates he is eager to launch another presidential campaign as early as this month in an effort to steer coverage away from the January 6 investigation into the riot at the U.S. Capitol and onto him.

“I think a lot of people would not even run if I did that because, if you look at the polls, they don’t even register,” Trump said.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is the other main contender that has strongly indicated he is pondering a run for president in 2024. However, Trump has privately told aides he feels he can beat the Florida governor due to his popularity among the GOP base in statements and posts to his Truth Social website.

However, some in the party are increasingly worried about a third Trump bid for office.

Some of Trump’s aides were shocked when he said he may announce he’s running for president on his Truth Social website instead of using a campaign rally.

“Every day is different. We get told he’s going to announce imminently, and by the afternoon that has changed,” one source said to CNN.

Trump’s team remains divided over if he should even make a third run for office, with some worried he may not be able to avoid a repeat of 2020. The federal campaign finance laws may also pay a factor in his decision as an early announcement means he would not be able to use any of the $100 million in his political action committee to directly support his presidential run.
