(Fwrd Axis) — In a new interview, Former President Donald Trump called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to release damaging information he has about the Biden family, once again calling on the Kremlin for political help as he mulls a decision to run in the 2024 election.
Speaking on the “Just the News” television show on the Real America’s Voice network. Trump told John Soloman, a right-wing journalist, pressed Putin to release information on the alleged dealings between Eastern European oligarchs and President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.
Trump made the unfounded claim without evidence that Hutner Biden received a payment from Elena Baturina, the former wife of the late former mayor of Moscow and called on Putin to provide the information.

“She gave him $3.5 million, so now I would think Putin would know the answer to that. I think he should release it,” Trump said. “I think we should know that answer.”
It is true that Hunter Biden was paid consulting work he did in foreign countries, including Ukraine and China, while his father — Joe Biden — was was vice president. The Justice Department has an ongoing criminal investigation into those dealings. However, there is no evidence to support Trump’s claim the Bidens engaged in corruption.
Trump’s public appeal to Putin once again shows how he is still willing to reach out to foreign countries for political purposes. He made the infamous July 2016 comment “Russia if you’re listening” in reference to Hillary Clinton’s emails.
“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” he said at a news conference.
In 2019, Trump pressured Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky to launch corruption investigations despite having no evidence against then-candidate Joe Biden and withheld nearly $400 million in US military aid unless Zelensky did so. That led to Trump’s first of two impeachments.
Trump recently praised Putin for his war in Ukraine, calling him a genius. That has left the GOP stuck in the middle as they struggle with how to move forward with Trump as the leader of the party while trying to distance themselves from the Putin scandals.
“I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, ‘This is genius.’ Putin declares a big portion of Ukraine — Putin declares it as an independent. Oh, that’s wonderful,” Trump said.
