In a launch night twist that saw viewers seeing red, Big Brother UK has claimed its first victim of the 2025 civilian series as viewers saw the launch night twist play out in Tuesday night’s episode.
Emily Hewertson was evicted by her fellow housemates, Caroline and Sam, in a 2-1 vote that saw her leave the house through the back door.
The trio was then sent to the “safe room”, but only two of them would return. Big Brother informed the trip that there will be no public eviction vote, but the choice on who leaves will be down to the three inside the safe room.
“This is Big Brother. Emily, Sam, and Caroline, the public have spoken; your fate will be decided in… The Exit Room. Three of you will enter, but only two of you will return,” Big Brother said.

Caroline was first to speak up, saying, “Look, I’ll go cause you two are young.”
Big Brother then asked each of the housemates to plead their case to stay.
“I think I should stay because obviously it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as it is for all of us,” Emily said. “Obviously, I’m young and this is just absolutely crazy for me, and I love Big Brother…”
“Well, I would absolutely bloody love to stay but the main reason is because I brought so many clothes, and I’m not joking,” Caroline said. “I brought jewellery, I brought cowboy hats. I thought this would be an opportunity to know what I’m actually like.”
Sam added, “I’ve wanted to do this my whole life, and I’ve finally got it, and I’m just so scared to cut it short, but I feel that’s really selfish. I don’t know how to plead my case, but I just really want to do this experience, and I’m scared to miss out.”
Following the eviction, Sam reflected on his decision in the Diary Room with Big Brother, revealing just how bad he felt.
“I feel like it’s so overwhelming, and I just got here,” he said.
Big Brother UK airs Sunday-Friday at 9 p.m. BST on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
