‘The Apprentice’ Recap: One Candidate Gets Sea Sick In The Boardroom

This week saw the candidates tasked with creating a fish dish to sell to the public.

(Fwrd Axis) — The Apprentice continued on Thursday night with the remaining 12 candidates completed in a fishy task to win Lord Alan Sugar’s £250,000 investment.

This week saw the candidates meet Lord Sugar at National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. They were tasked with creating a fish dish to sell to the public that saw them sourcing a catch of the day in the waters. The team that nets the biggest overall profit would win and in the losing team, at least one candidate would be fired.

Both teams split up with one-half fishing in Cornwall and the other half back in London to meet with the corporate client to convince them to buy their new fish meal.

In the end, the team of Akshay Thakrar and Alex Short have provided teammates Sophie Wilding, Amy Anzel and Stephanie Affleck came up short and suffered another defeat. Lord Sugar was less than pleased with the group, calling the task a disaster.

Alex was called out by Lord Sugar’s adviser, Karren Brady, for lying to the boss about forgetting to sell the crab at the hotel. However, in the boardroom, Alex tried to cover his own butt by saying he didn’t think he would be able to sell the crab.

“I think you should tell Lord Sugar the truth,” Karren snapped. “You forgot! C’mon Alex, you forgot.”

After deliberations, Karren told Lord Sugar the task is the worse she’s seen from a candidate and after the three candidates plead their case, the boss made his decision. It was clear that he had enough of Alex’s lies and excuses thanks input from Karren.

“After your catch of the day, here is my dispatch of the day: Alex you’re fired!”, Lord Sugar said.

The Apprentice continues on Thursdays at 9 PM BST on BBC One in the U.K.
