(Fwrd Axis) — Some of the best and brightest stars in Hollywood will not gather at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 2022 Golden Globes on Sunday. Due to the surging omicron Covid-19 variant, some big changes have been made to the award show for the third straight year.
The awards this year are unprecedented due to the fact it has been confirmed that there will be no live stream available for the event. The annual red carpet has also been scrapped due to the pandemic. That means no celebrity guests or after-party for the celebs to enjoy.
“This year’s event is going to be a private event and will not be live-streamed,” a rep for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association said. “We will be providing real-time updates on winners on the Golden Globes website and our social media.”
Where to watch the Golden Globes?
NBC pulled out of airing the event and that has resulted in fans questioning where to watch the award show. Fans can watch the awards on the official Golden Globes Facebook and YouTube accounts beginning at 9 PM ET.

Who is hosting?
Unlike last year, there will be no host for the Golden Globes this year. It is not uncommon to have no host but given the unusual conditions around this year’s ceremony, it does stand out more.
Notable names to watch for
Squid Game took the world by storm and was a big hit for Netflix in 2021. It has been nominated for Best Drama Series and two if its leading actors have also received nominations. The South Korean drama saw Jung-Jae get nominated for Best Television Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Seong Gi-hun aka player 456.
After years of controversy surrounding a lack of diversity, the best actor in a drama category features three Black actors, Will Smith (“King Richard”), Denzel Washington (“The Tragedy of Macbeth”), and Mahershala Ali (“Swan Song”).
