(Fwrd Axis) — Big Brother Australia opened its second week with a love triangle for the ages as Drew’s old flame, Tully, returned to the house, and old alliances went out the window.
The episode kicks off with Reggie cooking a birthday lunch for Drew and Sam for Sam’s birthday. Big Brother set a house task to kick off “battle week” with the housemates teaming up all week to win challenges. The first challenge saw the group competing to earn a spot at an Italian dinner.
Of course, this dinner is all a setup for Tully’s arrival. Big Brother announced each week the house will vote on a person to have power and they will become Head of the House. Tully arrives and will be HoH and things got awkward for Drew and Sam.

Tully chose Drew and Tim to join her in the HOH suite, meaning they are safe from eviction for the week. Sam is unhappy with Tully’s arrival while Joel is still confident the newbies can control the game despite the numbers being on the OG’s side.
For the nominations challenge, the housemates were split into two teams for an old-fashioned tug of war. Joel and Tim were on the same team and won all three tasks to win the challenge and earned immunity from the eviction. Now, they must nominate as a team and Tim said they may find it difficult since they all are working with different people.

The red team winning means Lulu, Lara, Jaycee, Tim, Reggie, Sam, Gabbie, Joel, and Trevor were all safe and had to nominate three people for eviction.
The group nominated Dave, Layla, and Johnson for eviction. Tim tells Layla that they can replace Dave with Tully since he did not vote their way when Mel was evicted.
Host Sonia Kruger returned to get the eviction proceedings started. After speaking with the housemates, everyone went to vote. Sonia then revealed Layla was evicted on a 9-6 vote.
“There’s someone in here that needs to be in here,” Layla said. “I just saw his inner child and that made me nostalgic, that used to be me. I wanted to come to Big Brother’s house since I was 11.”
Big Brother Australia continues Tuesday at 7.30 on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
