SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio FC opened their 2024 preseason slate with a 3-2 loss to Houston Dynamo 2 in a closed-door match at Toyota Field on Saturday afternoon.
Juan Agudelo scored lone goal of the first half, giving the home side a one-goal advantage going into the second half.
The second half saw the visitors score three consecutive goals to go up 3-1. Kameron Lacey got one back for San Antonio before the final whistle blew.
“Very proud of our first-team roster,” SAFC Head Coach Alen Marcina said. “The application of game model principles is essentially what we want to see come first game, so very proud of the effort, the commitment and overall execution of our game model principles.”
