‘America’s Got Talent’ Recap: Which Acts Advance To The Finals?

Did your favorite advance to the finals?

(Fwrd Axis) — America’s Got Talent delivered its first results of the season on Wednesday night after 11 acts took to the stage at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Tuesday with the hopes of impressing the judges and voting audience at home.

So, who did enough to make it straight into the finals? Let’s recap!

Host Terry Crews announces the top five acts announced will still be in the running for a spot in the finals. He announces the first two acts as West African dancers Amoukanama and The NFL Players Choir. The next three announced were Drake Milligan, Don McMillan, and Avery Dixon, Crews’ Golden Buzzer choice.

That meant the rest of the group was eliminated from the competition. After a lot of filler, Terry returned with more results and revealed who was in the top three of the vote. He announced Drake, Don, and Avery had all made into the top three, which meant Amoukanama and The NFL Players Choir were eliminated from the competition.

Last year’s winner Dustin Tavella returned for a special performance with former Modern Family star and current host of Love Island USA Sarah Hyland.

Terry then returned for the final results of the night. He announced country singer Drake Milligan had advanced into the finals, which then left the final two acts of the night. However, with this new format, there is no judge’s vote. So that meant the audience would have full control over who stays and goes this season.

The final act to go through to the finals was Dixon, meaning Don McMillan was eliminated.

America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC and streams on Peacock.
