‘Big Brother’ Recap: A Pearl Jam Leads To Michael’s Second Veto Win

Is Pooch overconfident staying on the block?

(Fwrd Axis) – Big Brother continued on Wednesday night with the Power of Veto competition as the two nominees fought to save themselves from the block and avoid eviction.

The episode kicked off following Jasmine’s nominations of Taylor and Pooch. Jasmine says she is happy with her nominations but Pooch is feeling confident despite volunteering to go on the block because of his “Oasis” alliance with him and the stronger men in the house. However, he should have reason to worry because the girls are wanting him out.

After a segment about contacts, it was then time to pick players for the veto competition. Joining Pooch and Taylor were Ameerah, Michael, and Terrance. For the veto comp, the housemates were transformed into “mermaids” and had to push three “pearls” into holes using only their heads.

Michael and Taylor were tied with two each and despite wanting to take her off the block, Michael isn’t sure if taking Taylor off is best for his game. So, he lets Taylor take the winning shot first. Sadly, Taylor missed her roll and Michael got his, winning his second straight Power of Veto.

After Michael’s win, the girls are sticking with their plans to keep nominations the same to send Pooch home. Meanwhile, downstairs Joseph is concerned that the girls may secretly be plotting to take out a guy. He tells this to Pooch and Monte but Pooch doesn’t want to hear it.

“He’s an idiot bro,” Pooch says of Joseph for even suggesting it.

Pooch tells the Diary Room he feels safe and may not even campaign since he is up “against public enemy number one” in Taylor. So, he’s feeling pretty safe. Meanwhile, Jasmine considers telling Michael to use the veto and nominating Joseph but worries it is too soon to make the move.

At the nomination ceremony, Michael declines to use the veto, keeping Jasmine’s nominations intact.

Big Brother continues Sunday with a special two-hour episode on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ featuring the eviction and HOH competition.
