George Gilbert was removed from the Big Brother UK house on Wednesday for “repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour”, ITV has confirmed.
“Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme,” an ITV spokesperson confirmed in a statement to FWRD AXIS News.
George will appear in tonight’s episode of Big Brother, but his comments will not be shown due to being contrary to broadcast standards.
On Tuesday night’s show, George, along with three of his fellow housemates, were nominated for this Friday’s eviction. Despite George’s removal, Friday’s eviction will go ahead as planned, and details will be provided during tonight’s episode of Big Brother: Late & Live.
George was previously warned about his language and behaviour when he made fun of Sam Ashby, a gay housemate.
“During a game of Truth or Dare, when asked about your least favourite qualities of other Housemates, you said the following, ‘Sam, um too…’. You then went on to mimic Sam using both noises that mocked the way Sam talks and body language that included limp wrists,” Big Brother told George.
During Tuesday’s nominations, George put up Sam and said that while he did apologize, he felt what he did “was not that deep” and that Sam needed to be “a bit tougher”.

The news comes just one day after Caroline was shown getting a warning for her comments towards Zelah Glasson, a transgender male, during a party game.
Caroline was given a formal warning for the remarks that came about when she asked pansexual housemate Nancy, whom she would most like to sleep with.
The next morning, Big Brother read back Caroline’s comments to her.
“Caroline, you said to Zelah ‘She’s a girl. No you’re not.’
“Teja shouts, ‘Caroline!’
“Caroline, you said, ‘But you haven’t got a willy. Is that really bad?”
“Caroline, Big Brother thinks that your language in these instances was offensive and unacceptable and cannot permit you to use language in a way that could cause offence to your fellow Housemates and the viewing public,” the all-seeing eye concluded.
Big Brother UK airs on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm BST from Sundays through Fridays.
