Justin Dhillon converted a goal in the friendly.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio FC opened their preseason slate on Saturday afternoon, playing to a 1-1 draw with FC Tulsa in a closed-door preseason match at Toyota Field.

Both goals came early in each half. SAFC opened the scoring early when Justin Dhillon converted a goal off the assist from Connor Maloney in the 14th minute. Tulsa added a goal in the 49th minute to draw even.

“Very happy with our progression through the preseason,” SAFC Head Coach Alen Marcina said. “Again, the results are not our concern, it’s demonstrating our team identity to see where we’re at.
