San Antonio FC Re-Signs Maloney To Multi-Year Extension

The 27-year-old was a key part of San Antonio FC’s run to a USL Championship title.

(Fwrd Axis) — San Antonio FC has re-signed defender Connor Maloney to a multi-year contract, the club announced on Thursday.

Maloney joined SAFC in 2020, appearing in 75 matches, starting 74 with 6,642 minutes played in USL Championship play. The 27-year-old was a key part of San Antonio FC’s run to a USL Championship title, scoring a goal in SAFC’s 2-0 win over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in the Western Conference Final.

“Every club and coach desires a Connor Maloney,” said San Antonio FC head coach Alen Marcina. “An incredible human being with a growth mindset, a leader, an all-in commitment to the vision, and an on-field high performer. Connor’s expansive skillset and receptiveness to tactical information, and ability to then immediately apply, perform and execute the asked tasks are invaluable traits.”

San Antonio FC is expected to announce more of their 2023 roster in the coming weeks.
