Biden Authorizes Ukraine To Strike Russia With Long-Range Missiles

The decision to allow Ukraine to deploy long-range missiles in Russian territory represents a significant shift in U.S. policy.

President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to utilize long-range missiles inside Russia, a decision that had previously been withheld from Ukraine, two U.S. officials confirmed on Sunday.

Ukraine can use ATACMS missiles inside Russia, including in Kursk where 50,000 Russian troops, including 10,000 North Koreans, are stationed.

The Biden administration condemned the North Korean deployment, seen as an extension of the Russia-Ukraine war.

The Pentagon and White House both declined to comment.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) criticized the decision, implying it could lead to World War III.

“On his way out of office, Joe Biden is dangerously trying to start WWIII by authorizing Ukraine the use of U.S. long range missiles into Russia,” Greene said. “The American people gave a mandate on Nov 5th against these exact America last decisions and do NOT want to fund or fight foreign wars.”

The U.S. has provided $175 billion in aid to Ukraine — more than any other country. President-elect Donald Trump has voiced his displeasure at the United States continuing to send aid to Ukraine, which could deal a major blow to Ukraine’s ability to resist Russia’s attacks.

This is a developing story and will be updated with more information.
