Biden Says Republicans Will ‘Tear Down’ Accomplishments If GOP Wins Midterms

Polls currently show Republicans leading and other candidates gaining momentum with less than two weeks before the midterm elections.

WASHINGTON (Fwrd Axis) — President Joe Biden on Friday said the GOP does not have a concrete plan to address the economic concerns of millions of Americans and warned if the Republicans win the midterm elections in November, they will ‘tear down’ his accomplishments.

Speaking to MSNBC anchor Jonathan Capehart, Biden said he doesn’t understand what the GOP is running on nor why they would tear down his accomplishments.

“They don’t have a platform other than to tear down what I’ve been able to do, we’ve been able to do. And I don’t know what they’re for,” Biden said.

Polls currently show Republicans leading and other candidates gaining momentum with less than two weeks before the midterm elections. The White House has likely sensed this, sending Biden out to make a closing pitch to voters on his administration’s efforts to provide student debt relief and rebuild the nation’s infrastructure.

“These last several weeks all I’m doing is saying here’s what we’re for, here’s what they’re for, and make a choice and vote,” Biden said. “And I think people are going to show up and vote like they did last time.”

The President dismissed the polls showing the majority of Americans do not approve of his handling of the economy, saying the policies over the past two years have yet to take effect, which includes rebuilding the nation’s highways and bridges.

Biden added he intends to run for re-election in 2024 but said he has yet to make a formal decision.

“I have not made that formal decision, but it’s my intention, my intention to run again, and we have time to make that decision,” Biden said. “My wife thinks that we’re doing something very important that I shouldn’t walk away from.”

Biden declined to comment on whether he believed former President Donald Trump should comply with a subpoena that was issued on Friday.
