‘Celebrity Apprentice Australia’ Recap: A Twist Sends One Celeb Back Home

(Fwrd Axis) — Celebrity Apprentice Australia continued on Monday night with Lord Sugar setting the celebs a task that is all about the details and a twist that gave one immunity.

The show kicks off straight after Will and Woody’s firing. Miss Moneypenny gave the celebrities their next task: host a Hens’ and Bucks’ cruise. Before all that, As part of her ‘special power’, Amy gets immunity but the power to decide which team gets which party and the project manager for both teams.

Amy decided to make Jean Kittson as Project Manager for Team Innovate and Ronnie Caceres the PM for Team Collaborate. She gave the hens party to her own team, Innovate, and the bucks party to Collaborate. Ronnie quickly thinks Amy just sealed her team’s fate.

She doesn’t have a strategic bone in her body,” he says.

For this task, the teams won’t just win by throwing a party to the satisfaction of the clients, they must meet their contractual obligations. The winning team will get $20,000 for their Project Manager’s charity.

“I actually didn’t really read my contract,” Carla aka Ben says.

Carla really struggled in this task and it showed from the minute the guests arrived. There were no drinks upon their arrival and the girls get hangry as they wait for food.

“Can we get some actual food?”, one guest says.

Entertainment host Darren McMullen gets on the microphone to entertain the guests but with no run sheet, he missed the cue for the adult entertainment, leaving the Hens upset.

In the boardroom, Lord Sugar quickly realizes the celebrities failed to fully grasp the idea of the task. Advisor Janine Allis announces Team Collaborate fully signed and executed all of their contracts but Team Innovate only successfully completed one out of three contracts.

So Amy, while safe, has put her team in danger. As Project Manager, Jean had to bring back two celebs to face Lord Sugar’s wrath in the boardroom. She decided on Carla and Darren, meaning Bronte Campbell is spared and sent to the winners’ lounge.

“I see all three of you equally culpable for the failure of this task,” Lord Sugar says to the bottom three.

“It wouldn’t bother me if all three of you left the process.”

In the end, Lord Sugar decides to send Carla home and back to Bankstown.

“I sincerely wish you well but I think you’ve reached the final stage of this process,” he says. “Carla, you’re fired.”

Carla exited the building but was grateful for her experience on the show.

“I want to say thank you for everything,” she says. “I hardly had any confidence coming into this show and I feel like I’ve just grown a lot and I appreciate everything you guys have done for me.”

Celebrity Apprentice Australia continues Tuesday night at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
