‘The Challenge’ Expands To CBS As Paramount+ Announces New Global Series

The winner of the CBS edition will then take part in Paramount+’s The Challenge: War of the Worlds.

(Fwrd Axis) — The success of The Challenge is going global!

Paramount announced Tuesday the MTV Entertainment Studios series is expanding to CBS and will be airing versions of the show in the United Kingdom, Australia, and Argentina. The streaming service also announced new seasons of The Real World Homecoming with the original New Orleans cast and seasons of The Challenge: All-Stars, RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars, and Queen of the Universe.

The CBS version of The Challenge will air later this summer and bring together reality stars from the network’s most popular franchises (Survivor, Big Brother, The Amazing Race) to face off in a series of competitions. The winner of the CBS edition will then take part in Paramount+’s The Challenge: War of the Worlds, which will bring together winners from versions of the show in Argentina, Australia, and the U.K. to crown the first-ever Challenge world champion.

Meanwhile, The Challenge: All-Stars will return for its third season on the streaming service on May 11 on Paramount+. The season wrapped up filming late last year and will take place in Costa Rica.
