(Fwrd Axis) — Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday on charges of felony domestic violence.

“We are in the process of gathering more information,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a statement obtained by FWRD AXIS News.

Miles Bridges’ bail was set at $130,000 and he was released.

Bridges was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft from Michigan State University. He is a free agent coming off his best season, averaging 20.2 points, seven rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Charlotte released a statement saying they are aware of the situation but declined to comment further.

“The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges. We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time,” the team said in a statement.

Bridges’ wife, Mychelle Johnson, posted photos to her Instagram account late Thursday of bruises on her face. She said she has a fractured nose and wrist, and a severe concussion — injuries she claims she suffered at the hands of the NBA forward.
