Kiernan Shipka To Reprise Role As Sabrina In ‘Riverdale’ Season 6

Shipka played Sabrina on the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which ended in 2020.

(Fwrd Axis) — Get ready for more witchcraft in the town of Riverdale.

Kiernan Shipka will reprise her role as Sabrina Spellman later this season on the CW drama, it was announced on Saturday at the PaleyFest panel in Los Angeles.

Shipka played Sabrina on the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which ended in 2020. She made her first appearance on Riverdale during its “Rivervale” five-part event late last year, helping Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) with a spell.

Currently, Cheryl is possessed by the evil spirit of her ancestor Abigail and Shipka’s character is likely being brought back to save Cheryl’s soul.

“I don’t think it’s a matter of younger or old. I think it was a matter of … It was really interesting for me slipping back into her shoes because I hadn’t been her in two years,” Shipka told ComicBook.com. “I was surprised at just how quickly she just took over again. It was like riding a bike and you never know about that kind of thing. I’d never played someone and then not, and then gone back and did it again. So that was a new thing for me. I didn’t know how that was going to work, and I was just like, ‘Oh, this fits like a glove.’ And it was very fun.”

Additionally, it was also revealed Riverdale‘s seasonal musical episode will be inspired by American Psycho. The musical is based on the novel and movie killer Patrick Bateman.
