Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II Tests Positive For Coronavirus

LONDON (Fwrd Axis) — Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the Queen of England, Elizabeth, has tested positive for Coronavirus.

It comes days after Charles and Camilla both tested positive for the virus and two weeks after Platinum Jubilee (celebrating 70 years on the throne).

The Queen, 95, is showing “mild cold-like symptoms”. In the statement from Buckingham Palace, it states that the Queen will continue with “light duties”.

According to the statement, the Queen will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson was one of the first to pass on his well wishes to the monarch, tweeting: “I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a swift recovery from Covid and a rapid return to vibrant good health.”

It’s believed that the Queen has had both her Covid vaccines – along with the booster. However, she had been on doctors’ order to rest since mid-October for reasons undisclosed. Back then, she was forced to cancel a run of engagements and spent a night in hospital undergoing preliminary tests.

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau tweeted that his thoughts were with the queen.

“My thoughts, and the thoughts of millions of Canadians, are with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II today. We’re wishing her a fast and full recovery from COVID-19,” Trudeau wrote.

Fast forward to February 8 where she spent time with Prince Charles and Camilla, who hosted an investiture at her Windsor Castle home before Charles himself came down with the virus.

The Duchess of Cornwall was later revealed to be suffering with it, something which Clarence House confirmed on Monday, in a statement which mentioned that the duchess was self-isolating.

It’s not been great for the Queen recently, she’s even admitted to “feeling frail” this week, but luckily – she managed to smile through her health troubles and the scandals surrounding Princes Charles and Andrew.
