‘Big Brother’ Recap: Another Blindside Looms

Are the leftovers serving up another blindside?

(Fwrd Axis) – Big Brother continued on Wednesday night with the Power of Veto competition as the two nominees fought to save themselves from the block and avoid eviction leading up to one huge veto meeting.

The episode picks up after Monte’s nominations of Indy and Alyssa. Indy doesn’t trust anyone while Monte says his true target is Nicole only if Taylor agrees to go on the block to make it happen. Taylor said she doesn’t want to put herself back in the firing line again while Daniel is cautiously concerned about what Monte is selling him.

Alyssa and Kyle have gotten close on the feeds and the casual viewers got a chance to see the showmance budding into something on the show Wednesday. Kyle likes Alyssa while she claims to like him too. Is it all for the show in the game or is it real? That question remains unanswered.

Meanwhile, the Leftovers discussed which Festie Bestie pair Taylor should join if Nicole is evicted. However, Michael, Brittany, and Taylor made a final three and agreed the nominations should stay the same because Alyssa is a big threat. Michael feels he can get Indy to join his and Brittany’s pair if Alyssa is evicted.

It was then time for the Power of Veto competition. One pair of besties had to watch a trippy video after eating some slop and memorize it to their best ability. The other bestie must answer questions about the video and the one who answers the most correctly would win. It would come down to Kyle and Indy, with Kyle winning the competition, meaning he and Daniel won safety from being nominated as a replacement nominee.

Michael goes into a meeting with the Leftovers with the thought of wanting nominations to stay the same and presents that to Monte, who also agrees. Monte then attempts to convince Daniel to not use the veto but Nicole claims she has been ‘trained’ to spot liars (apparently not) and Daniel says he’s using the veto regardless – not knowing Monte’s real plan.

At the veto meeting, Daniel and Kyle used the veto to save Alyssa and Indy. As a result, Monte nominated Nicole and Taylor as replacement nominees leaving Taylor in tears questioning if she can trust the Leftovers alliance.

Big Brother continues on Thursday night at 9/8c on CBS and Paramount+ with host Julie Chen Moonves.
